He graduated from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995 and quickly became a respected leader in the veterinary community. Throughout his career, Dr. Martin has held notable leadership positions, including serving as past president of both the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association (NCVMA) and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Board (NCVMB).

In addition to his veterinary expertise, Dr. Martin earned an MBA from The Citadel, further enhancing his business acumen. He has successfully owned and operated five veterinary facilities, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to providing quality care. Dr. Martin's passion for the profession is deeply rooted in his upbringing, as both of his parents were veterinarians, instilling in him a lifelong dedication to animal health.

Outside of his professional achievements, Dr. Martin has a special fondness for dachshunds, his favorite breed of dog, reflecting his personal connection to the animals he cares for.
