Brief Price List

Wellness Visits and Vaccinations

Wellness Exam

$45

A wellness exam for a pet is a routine check-up performed by a veterinarian to assess your pet’s overall health and catch any potential issues early. It’s kind of like an annual physical for humans and is an important part of preventive care.  Dr Martin will perform a nose-to-tail checkup, including eyes, ears, oral cavity, skin, coat, heart, lungs, abdomen, joints, and muscles.

Rabies

$17

A rabies vaccination for pets is a critical, often legally required shot that protects your pet—and your community—from the deadly rabies virus. Rabies is a fatal disease that affects the nervous system and can be spread to humans, usually through a bite from an infected animal.

DA2PP

$17

The DA2PP vaccination is a core vaccine for dogs—meaning it's considered essential for all dogs regardless of lifestyle. It protects against several serious (and potentially fatal) viral diseases. DA2PP is a combination vaccine, so one shot covers multiple illnesses; Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2, Parvovirus, and Parainfluenza.

Bordetella

$17

The Bordetella vaccination for dogs helps protect against Bordetella bronchiseptica, one of the primary bacteria that causes kennel cough—a highly contagious upper respiratory infection.  If your dog spends time around other dogs (boarding, grooming, dog parks, training classes, daycare), this vaccine is  recommended—or even required.

Leptospirosis

$20

The leptospirosis vaccine for dogs helps protect against Leptospira bacteria, which can cause a serious and sometimes fatal disease called leptospirosis. This disease can affect both dogs and humans, making it a zoonotic disease (one that can be passed from animals to people).

Lyme

$45

The Lyme vaccination for dogs helps protect against Lyme disease, a tick-borne illness caused by the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi. Lyme disease can be serious in dogs, affecting their joints, kidneys, and nervous system—and in some cases, it can become chronic or even life-threatening.

Influenza H3N2

$39

The canine influenza vaccine helps protect dogs against canine influenza virus (CIV)—a highly contagious respiratory infection often referred to as dog flu. While it's usually not fatal, it can make dogs seriously ill and spread quickly in group settings like kennels, daycares, or dog parks.

FVRCP

$17

The FVRCP vaccine is a core vaccine for cats, meaning it’s considered essential for all cats—indoor and outdoor. It’s a combination vaccine that protects against three highly contagious and potentially serious feline diseases: FVR (feline viral rhinotracheitis), C (calicivirus), and P (panleukopenia).

FeLV

$35

The FeLV vaccine protects cats against the feline leukemia virus (FeLV), a serious, contagious, and often fatal disease that weakens a cat’s immune system and can lead to cancer, chronic infections, and anemia. It’s especially important for kittens, outdoor cats, and cats living with FeLV-positive housemates, but it may not be necessary for all adult indoor cats.

Heartworm Testing

$25

Testing for heartworms in dogs is essential—because heartworm disease is severe, potentially deadly, and can be completely silent in its early stages. Regular testing is the only way to catch it before it causes permanent damage to your dog’s heart, lungs, and other organs.  Caused by Dirofilaria immitis, a parasitic worm spread through mosquito bites. Adult worms live in the heart, lungs, and blood vessels and can grow up to 12 inches long and live for 5–7 years.

Heartworm and Blood Parasite Testing

$40

Testing for heartworm, Ehrlichia, Lyme disease, and Anaplasmosis in dogs is typically done with a single blood test.  This test checks for four different vector-borne diseases (mostly transmitted by mosquitoes and ticks), many of which can be silent or subtle at first but lead to serious health problems if left untreated.

FIV/FeLV Testing

$40

Testing for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) in cats is crucial for diagnosing these serious viral infections. Both diseases affect a cat’s immune system and can lead to a variety of health issues, but they are different in how they are transmitted, diagnosed, and managed.

Fecal Ova and Parasite Screen

$22

Fecal ova and parasite testing is a vital diagnostic tool for detecting intestinal parasites in dogs and cats, such as worms, protozoa, and other gastrointestinal (GI) parasites. These infections can lead to a range of digestive issues, as well as other health problems like weight loss, vomiting, diarrhea, anemia, and in severe cases, even organ damage.

Annual Adult Wellness Screen

Canine $104/Feline $72

Annual bloodwork for adult cats and dogs is crucial to their routine health care. It provides a snapshot of their overall health, helps detect early signs of illness, and allows us to monitor conditions that may not show visible symptoms. By catching health issues early, we may prevent more serious problems. Adult canine screening includes 12-point chemistry, CBC, fecal parasite, heartworm, Lyme, Anaplasma, and Ehrlichia.  Adult feline screen includes 12-point chemistry, CBC, and fecal parasite.

Annual Senior Wellness Screen

Canine $211/Feline $177

Annual bloodwork for senior dogs is important as older pets are at a higher risk for developing various health conditions, many of which can be managed more effectively if detected early. Canine senior screening includes a comprehensive chemistry, CBC, T4, urinalysis, heartworm, Lyme, Anaplasma, Ehrlichia, and GI parasite PCR. Feline senior screening includes a comprehensive chemistry, CBC, T4, urinalysis, and GI parasite PCR.

Sick Visits and Diagnostic Testing

Sick Visit

$55

In veterinary medicine, a sick pet exam is a thorough physical examination and diagnostic evaluation conducted when a pet shows signs of illness or discomfort. The goal of this exam is to determine the cause of the pet’s symptoms, whether it's a minor issue or something more serious. We can provide care for select illnesses.  Severe illnesses will be referred to a local hospital for critical care.

Ear Swab Cytology

$20

Ear swab cytology is a common diagnostic procedure in veterinary medicine used to examine a sample of material (such as ear discharge or debris) from a pet's ear canal under a microscope. The primary purpose of this test is to help identify the cause of ear problems such as infections, inflammation, or allergies. It provides a quick and efficient way for vets to understand what’s going on inside a pet’s ear and to determine the best treatment.

Comprehensive Chemistry Panel , CBC, and T4

$90

In veterinary medicine, a comprehensive blood panel and Complete Blood Count (CBC) are essential diagnostic tools used to assess the overall health of a pet, diagnose diseases, and monitor the function of vital organs. These tests are typically recommended as part of routine wellness exams, sick pet exams, or pre-surgical screenings.

Thyroid (T4) Screen

$31

Thyroid testing in pets is crucial for diagnosing thyroid disorders, which are relatively common in both dogs and cats. The thyroid glands, located in the neck, play a vital role in regulating metabolism by producing hormones (primarily T4) that control various bodily functions, including energy use, growth, and body temperature.
